Ernest "Ernie D" Martinez
On-Air Personality/Creative Director

Ernest Martinez is Radio Disney's Creative Director and lead on-air personality, known to both his colleagues and millions of listeners as "Ernie D."  He can be heard on-air each weekday afternoon.

In his role of Creative Director, Martinez is responsible for the presentation of Radio Disney's programming which includes feature and on-air promo content and a staff of on-air talent.

Martinez has an appreciation and extensive knowledge of the music and entertainment that's relevant to kids, tweens and families.  On-air, he regularly hosts exclusive interviews both in-studio and via remote including "Take Overs with Ernie D" and "Planet Premiere," the world premiere of the most anticipated music among Radio Disney listeners.

Martinez began his radio career as a morning show producer at KHCK-FM in Dallas, eventually transitioning to an on-air position. He later became producer/production assistant at KHKS-FM in Dallas, before joining ABC Radio Networks International as international radio producer. He has been with Radio Disney for over ten years.

Martinez made his television acting debut in an episode of "Hannah Montana" that aired in 2009.

In his free time, Martinez enjoys playing soccer, golf and mountain biking and playing video games.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, he currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife, son and two daughters.
